Dr. Elizabeth Coburn
Associate Veterinarian
Fear Free Certified
Growing up in a medical family, Dr. Elizabeth Coburn knew early on that she wanted a career that combined the challenge of medicine with her lifelong love for animals. A Rhode Island native, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and Technology from the University of Rhode Island, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 2021. She completed her clinical training at Lincoln Memorial University.
During her clinical year, Dr. Coburn traveled the country in a camper—dogs in tow—gaining hands-on experience at veterinary clinics across both the North and South. She credits these unique experiences with laying the foundation for the veterinarian she is today.
After several years of practicing in Texas, Dr. Coburn and her partner Aaron recently relocated to Pennsylvania, drawn by the four distinct seasons and the natural beauty of the Northeast. Outside of work, she enjoys fly fishing, hiking, exploring new places, and spending time at home with their three dogs—Brody, Bentley, and Bonnie—and two orange cats, Cheesy and Brie.
Dr. Coburn is Fear Free Certified and passionate about providing low-stress, compassionate care. As an associate veterinarian at Barton Heights Veterinary Hospital, she’s honored to help pets live their healthiest, happiest lives while forming lasting bonds with their families.
